Written in a flash of rage at work one day, this song would later be described to Marc by a friend as "so you." To date this is the favorite of all of the songs he has written. The title was inspired by the relatability of Joan Jett's music (I love Rock 'n' Roll, I Don't Give A Damn About My Bad Reputation, etc). The lyric "Every single move's a mistake, beat up by a new day" was originally part of a song titled "In Color I See I Was Blind" that was only performed once as part of an acoustic singer/songwriter show at Dagwood's in Lansing MI. The song languished for years until it was resurrected for the rehearsal sessions that gave birth to the album.

For a time Marc worked as a mechanic and rented a room in Pittsburgh, CA with his manager Rick and his wife. They would ride into work together in Rick's hopped up Chevy pickup. Part of making it to work on time involved Rick weaving in and out of traffic like a getaway driver in order to not be caught behind busses and have to stop. Hence the lyric "I'm hauling ass but I'm behind the bus."
